TerreDecor
By isabella | Terra CrudaTerreDecor gathers a range of samples for decorative plaster using raw earth. The earth used was collected from different excavation sites. Some earth was also collected in the building site where the plastering were made. Texture and colours differentiate every single element. Some of them show shapes which can be found in nature such as leaves, sticks, flowers. Some others refer to the artificial world, such as fabric samples, paper, plastic. Some others propose more plastic solutions through bas-relieves and high relieves. By using earth of a different colour it is possible to make some parts of surfaces more visible

interiors in raw earth
By isabella | Terra CrudaEarth has been used as building material since the earliest times. A material that is easily accessible. Stunning architecture has been built around the world using this material, which has allowed us to elaborate fascinating representations of the space. The building techniques vary according to the traditions, the cultural, geographical and social background of the place where they were created and developed. Often architecture merges with art and expresses the pleasure of creating. The result are sensual rounded shapes. Building using raw earth has some economical, social and ecological advantages. It means that we can rely on local material and that we can work on our buildings on our own

Decorative Lighting
By isabella | Ceramica, Terra CrudaLamps have simple shapes characterised by an accurate work of research on textures. The way surface is treated changes the orientation and the intensity of the light which is transmitted. The decorative motives imitate the shapes of nature: my eye often lingers on surfaces and structures of different objects
artistic plaster of earth and straw at the permanent building site workshop in Todi
By isabella | Terra CrudaARTISTIC PLASTER EARTH AND STRAW AT THE PERMANENT BUILDING SITE WORKSHOP IN TODI (PG). In collaboration with Eliana Baglioni (architect) and Sanni Mezzasoma from Panta Rei association. It is on days like these, when common intentions give life to specific courses, that opportunities for new meetings arise. While the work on the building site progresses, reflections are raised and elaborated. One of the points discussed during these days was the need of finding a common fertile breeding ground for architects and professionals, but also for other individuals, even those who were somehow involved in activities not strictly related to the project in the building site. The building site workshop
earth and…children!
By isabella | Terra CrudaWhen we immerse ourselves in the world of children we are always able to fully experience the joy of “doing”. When I work with children I can share their ability to wonder, I can share their curiosity which brings them to explore every single thing minute by minute. It often seems as if we want to teach them not to make the mistakes that we made, but more often I notice how their existence, which is so simple and free from influences, invites us to step back from those moments when we are absorbed in our thoughts and brings us back “here and now”. We give children lessons, we tell

course on earth plaster_”terra…te”_Le Torrate in Chions(UD)
By isabella | Terra CrudaThe course was held at the association Le Torrate in Chions di Pordenone. The town is located in an agricultural area and is made of a urban centre with rural houses which was once inhabited by about 200 people. Every family in this town had to sustain itself and carry on farmland work. Nowadays, this town is run by Giacomo and Daniela, who are willing to give some value back to this area by maintaining and renovating the existing structures and by integrating projects and interventions with an eye on the conscious use of resources. Together with Giacomo we decided to use earth from the surrounding countryside. The course proposed
